Campaign Controls
WarmOpener gives you granular control over how campaigns are executed. Configure sending behavior, select specific inboxes, and manage campaign lifecycle.
Launching a Campaign
When you launch a campaign, you configure several important settings that control how emails are sent.
Configuration Options
- Sequence Selection: Choose which email sequence to use
- Target Type: Send to individual contacts or an entire contact list
- Inbox Selection: Choose which connected inbox sends the emails
- Time Window: Set hours when emails can be sent (e.g., 9 AM - 5 PM)
- Daily Limit (Optional): Override inbox limit for this specific campaign
- Save as Draft: Configure campaign without launching immediately
Inbox Selection
You can choose which connected inbox sends emails for each campaign. This allows you to:
- Distribute load across multiple inboxes
- Send from domain-specific addresses (e.g., @sales.company.com vs @support.company.com)
- Use different personas for different campaigns
- Keep sender reputation separate by campaign type
Campaign Status
Campaigns have different statuses that indicate their current state:
Draft: Campaign configured but not launched. No emails scheduled.
Active: Campaign is live. Emails are being scheduled and sent according to sequence delays.
Paused: Campaign temporarily stopped. Scheduled emails won't be sent until resumed.
Completed: All emails in sequence sent to all contacts. Campaign finished.
Managing Active Campaigns
Pausing a Campaign
Click Pause Campaign on the Campaigns page to temporarily stop all email sends. Use cases:
- Need to update email templates with corrections
- Product issue discovered (don't want to send broken info)
- Testing response rates before sending to full list
- Approaching daily send limit, want to prioritize different campaign
Resuming a Campaign
Click Resume Campaign to restart a paused campaign. Scheduled emails will begin sending again according to their original schedule.
Stopping a Campaign
Click Stop Campaign to permanently end a campaign. This action:
- Cancels all pending/scheduled emails
- Already sent emails remain sent (cannot be recalled)
- Campaign status changes to "Stopped"
- Cannot be resumed (must create new campaign)
Advanced Controls
Per-Campaign Daily Limits
Override the inbox's default daily send limit for a specific campaign. Example use cases:
- High-priority campaign needs more bandwidth: Set higher limit
- Testing new sequence: Set lower limit (e.g., 10/day) to control blast radius
- Multiple campaigns sharing one inbox: Allocate specific limits to each
Contact List Targeting
When launching to a contact list:
- New contacts added to list after campaign launch won't receive emails
- Contacts removed from list will still receive scheduled emails
- Campaign captures list membership at launch time
⚠️ Free Trial Limitation
Campaign launching is not available on the Free Trial. You can create sequences, upload contacts, and configure campaigns, but cannot launch them until upgrading to a paid plan (Starter, Growth, or Scale).
💡 Pro Tip
Always test with a small batch first (10-20 contacts) before launching to your entire list. Check the Email Sends page after 10 minutes to verify emails are being delivered correctly. This catches template errors, placeholder issues, and deliverability problems before they affect your entire list.
